Focus on Sustainability

Berlin has decided on the first sustainability strategy for the entire city. The strategy adapts the implementation of the 2030 Agenda to Berlin’s specific context. A new tool for cities, counties, and municipalities: The “Portal for Sustainable Municipalities” from the German Institute for Urban Affairs.

2026 Open Source Competition Launched

This year’s Open Source Competition is all about “Modern Administration. Innovation. Digital Sovereignty.” Government agencies at all levels, as well as public companies and institutions, are invited to submit projects that reflect this theme. The competition is organized by the Open Source Business Alliance (OSBA). The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2026.
