Smart Country Startup Award 2026 - Digital solutions for Cities, Government and Infrastructures

Apply by August 31!With the Smart Country Startup Award, the industry association Bitkom encourages good ideas and innovative concepts for digital government, smart infrastructure, public procurement, digital identities, and much more.

The award is open to all startups that meet specific criteria and submit their applications in accordance with the guidelines. Terms and Conditions

Based on the complete applications received, the jury will select 5 finalists who will have the opportunity to present their companies in a live pitch on October 14, 2026, at the Smart Country Convention, and will then face the final vote of the expert jury.

The Smart Country Startup Award 2026 is presented as part of this year’s Smart Country Convention (SCCON), which takes place October 13–15, 2026, at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. With more than 18,000 attendees, around 400 exhibitors, and 650 speakers, SCCON is the leading event for everyone involved in the digital transformation of the public sector. SCCON is organized by the industry association Bitkom and Messe Berlin.
