BBU Verband Berlin-Brandenburgischer Wohnungsunternehmen e.V.

With 352 member companies in Berlin and Brandenburg, the BBU is the largest and oldest housing association in the capital region. It unites state-owned, municipal, cooperative, private and church housing companies in Berlin-Brandenburg, which have around 1.1 million apartments.

Its member companies manage a good 40 percent of the rental housing stock in Berlin with roughly 700,000 apartments and almost 50 percent in Brandenburg with around 400,000 apartments.

The BBU sees itself as an interest group and representative of the regional real estate industry, as a communicator and moderator at the interface of politics, business and administration.
