Subterranean supply- and disposal centre at the Potsdamer Platz

Alba Facility Solutions GmbH has developed a subterranean logistics centre where food leftovers from all restaurants and cafes around the Potsdamer Platz are being collected and discretely stored. This subterranean system is not only smart because everything happens invisibly below ground but also because the waste is already being processed there and then. Alba has developed a plant that extracts water from the organic waste and thus reduces its volume by two thirds. The compressed remains are subsequently transported to a biogas plant.
