Quartier Heidestraße

Quartier Heidestrasse covers a good 8 ha (20 acres) and, as part of the Europacity near Berlin's Central Station, is one of the largest development sites in the capital. Our goal is to develop Quartier Heidestrasse into a district of the future which will make the life and work of its residents more pleasant and easier through the use of smart technologies. All of the residential and office buildings will feature intelligent technologies to create intelligent and flexible living and working environments equipped with digital technology for consistent networking. Each building will have its own separate digital "nervous system" to control such things as the heating, lighting, elevators, air conditioning, spaces in the underground parking garage, and the booking of meeting rooms. The buildings, and this is unique, will also be inter-networked, so that all information will flow into a superordinate nerve centre for the entire district that we call the Quartier Brain. The district will be smart and charming, which will especially strengthen neighbourly relations. Because the focus is always on the people.
