Interative App Time Travel Potsdamer Platz
In hardly any other important place in Berlin has history led to such changes as Potsdamer Platz: Europe's busiest square, complete destruction after the war, death zone during the division with subsequent complete new construction and current finalization of the last construction project. A teacher from the Netherlands captured this eventful history in large panorama pictures. These can be experienced interactively on location via smartphone - a fascinating journey through the past decades.
Via a large QR code in the ground, directly in front of the train tower at Potsdamer Platz, everyone can go on a journey through time with their own smartphone. Depending on the viewing direction, the pictures are automatically swivelled.
All pictures were taken at about the same place as today's QR code.
"QR Cobble" is available at more than 50 locations in Berlin. In this way, real places are easily and permanently connected with virtual content.
