Information and competence centre for future-oriented constr
The efficiency house Plus with electromobility is an innovative showcase project for future-oriented construction and produces more energy than it consumes, which can be used, for example, to charge electric vehicles.
The house was opened in December 2011 by Federal Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel. Afterwards, two different families lived in the house for one year at a time. It was also researched as part of the Efficiency House Plus Initiative.
In October 2017, the Efficiency House Plus was reopened with electromobility as the BMI's "Information and Competence Centre for Future-Oriented Building" and has since offered information and numerous exciting events, exhibitions and guided tours on topics such as sustainability, climate protection and energy efficiency.
