The urban technologie, science and economic location Schöneweide is located in the southeast of Berlin, between the future airport Berlin Brandenburg and the city center. Currently it is the home of 300 companies and 3000 employees in the sectors power, digitization, ICT- Industry, science and creative industry. Schöneweide is today regarded as a reference location for Industry 4.0, as well as for urban production and creative industries. The development of the location will go on in the future: The goal is to open up an innovation and tech-center for digitization of the economy and Industrie 4.0 as well as a center for textile industry by 2021.
