Business On Tour: “Urban Mobility From B(erlin) to A(msterdam)”

When it comes to urban mobility matters, Amsterdam is a role model for many cities. From 10 to 11 October 2022, Berlin experts from the realms of business, science and administration will have the opportunity to find out more about new ideas and concepts for climate- and eco-friendly mobility in the Dutch capital.

A delegation of entrepreneurs from 12 companies in Amsterdam had already visited Berlin in early February of this year. The group was accompanied by the vice mayor of the Dutch metropolis, Egbert de Vries, as well as representatives of Amsterdam Trade & Innovate. The first stops on the tour were the MotionLab.Berlin makerspace in Alt-Treptow and the Drivery innovation hub in Tempelhof-Schöneberg. The guests then took to the streets in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district (Bergmannstrasse and Lausitzer Platz) and Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf to find out how the mobility transition is being put into practice in these neighbourhoods. In the course of this, they also discussed some project ideas that focus on the mieri-mobil experimentation site on Mierendorff Island.

The idea behind the “Urban Mobility – From A to B” format is to intensify the exchange of ideas and information between companies and organisations in Amsterdam and Berlin. With a clear aim: to develop and implement concrete project ideas together.

The next trip will take place on 10 and 11 October 2022; this time, the journey will take participants from B(erlin) to A(msterdam).

Berlin companies and organisations are welcome to join Berlin Partner for Business and Technology’s Smart City team on the trip to Amsterdam, where they can establish new contacts and deepen existing ones.

Take this opportunity to get first-hand information, visit projects in the Dutch capital and meet experts. Requests and suggestions are welcome, and we are also happy to help with any questions at
