ProValid and ProNTI - two new funding programmes for innovative projects in Berlin

Two new funding programmes, ProValid and ProNTI, were launched at the beginning of April. With these programmes, the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Enterprises aims to support both universities in validating research results for the market and start-ups and SMEs in the area of non-technical innovations.

Two new programmes are being added to Berlin's funding landscape. ProValid, which addresses universities, is intended to evaluate the commercial viability of research and to strengthen the transfer between academia and businesses. ProNTI is interesting for start-ups and SMEs that develop non-technical innovations in the social economy. Non-technical innovations are understood here as new product concepts, service concepts, process concepts or organisational concepts. The solutions have to be novel and the economic, ecological and social sustainability of the project has to be proven. Individual projects in various phases can be funded.

Both programmes support the implementation of the Berlin-Brandenburg Innovation Strategy in the funding area "Innovation and Digitalisation" and are managed by IBB Business Team GmbH.
