THE 2023 DEEPTECH AWARD

Berlin SMEs still have until 23 April to submit their entries for the DeepTech Award, endowed with a total of €50,000. The organisers are looking for products and solutions with a high degree of innovation and potential for the future.

Berlin is considered the top location of the German tech industry. Artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, IT security and the Internet of Things are particularly heavily represented in the capital; developments are primarily driven by start-ups and highly specialised small and medium-sized enterprises. With this year’s DeepTech Award, the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises once again aims to show just how innovative Berlin’s deep tech SMEs are. In 2023, the prize will be awarded for the eighth time and addresses small and medium-sized enterprises in Berlin.

THE 2023 DEEPTECH AWARD – 5 CATEGORIES

The award will go to “application-oriented and market-proven solutions and products” based on deep tech in the following categories:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Web3 – DLT, Blockchain Technology, NFT & the Metaverse
  • IT Security
  • The Internet of Things & Industry 4.0
  • Social & Sustainable Impact

€10,000 will be awarded in each category; winners will be announced at the award ceremony on 6 July. The prize money for the 2023 DeepTech Award was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). (vdo)
